I don’t think it is too early to begin thinking about this fall’s SBL, do you? I will be there for the duration and I have SBL’s permission, assuming the permission of our speakers, to record the papers in our Aramaic Studies session for podcasting purposes.
But what do you all think about another gathering of Bibliobloggers (and friends) for a podcast? We could either meet just for that purpose, whoever is able and willing to get together, or perhaps we could share a meal with our conversation. What do you all think? Is it worth doing? If so, whether or not you would participate, what should we discuss? Any topics or issues that folks would like to see us tackle?

Count me in. As long as it doesn’t conflict with a fascinating paper debunking the traditional approach to Israelite historiography or the Copenhagen / Sheffield School Dinner.
I think this is a great idea. I don’t have any specific topics to discuss at this time but it takes me a little time to think. For what it is worth, I plan to be there for the duration.
Hi there, Chris,
I sure hope to be there, but I won’t know for absolute sure until a week or two. If you read my blog, I’ll post within a couple of weeks if I will be coming.
Thanks Chris! Now this will be something to look forward to, Jim West and Chris “The Antichrist” Tilling at the same table! I will be sure to bring my asbestos knickers.
Hi from me too 🙂 My first SBL meeting – so I hope to meet some of you whose blogs I read.
