I don’t know anything about the organization and it irritates me to no end that their “about” section of their site doesn’t actually say anything about their organization, but if their promo is anything to go by, I agree with their sentiment and intent.

Hey there,
My name is Tony Biaggne and I serve as AC’s Creative Director. I’m sorry you weren’t able to find the information you were hoping for. Maybe I can clear some things up for you. You weren’t able to find anything about our organization…because we’re not an organization. We’re a movement. What that means is we don’t raise money, we don’t have a “staff”. Heck, I don’t even think we trademarked our name! What you saw on the website is exactly what we are: Advent Conspiracy is a movement that longs to return people to the scandal of the birth of our savior by replacing consumption with compassion. We do this by spending less on needless gifts, giving more relational gifts, worshiping Jesus fully and loving all by serving those in need. We encourage folks to give to the organization they’re passionate about while asking them to consider giving to help those who don’t have access to clean drinking water. If it sounds very simple and transparent that’s because it is. That’s sort of the beauty of AC and why it’s grown so much. If you have any questions feel free to email us at any time at info@adventconspiracy.com
Thanks,
Tony Biaggne

Tony – Thanks so much for taking the time to write! I appreciate your explanation of why there is not very much information in your “about” section of your site, and I don’t mean to sound rude, but it is a bit of a dodge to say that you are not an organization you are a movement and thus there is nothing to say about yourselves. Movement or organization, there are presumably guiding principles that led you to create AC. What are “relational gifts”? Why should I have to register to see how I can get involved? It just seems that a little more transparency would be nice before I give you my information.
I really don’t mean to be so nit picky and as I said, I do appreciate (and practice) what it is that you all seem to be calling for.
