My brother just texted me the news. This is very sad, he was still very young (58) and one of the best political reporters out there. Let’s face it, most of the political “commentators” on televised news are self-aggrandizing hacks. I never got that feeling about Russert. I will always remember his attempts to keep up with the vote count during the night of the 2000 presidential election. I smile just to think of it. He will be sorely missed, especially in the year of a presidential election.
May light perpetual shine upon him.
