It has been a busy time for me and I have not been able to give any well, thought out posts of late. I have been coming across some interesting, some amusing, and some thought provoking items, however and so this morning, with little fanfare or commentary, here are some items that might be of interest.
- Beards – Apparently I am 16 years ahead of the curve. Beards are making a comeback (due to economic downturn? I think not).
- Baby – Chris Evans, host of a BBC Radio Two program that I listen to on podcast, and his wife Tasha had a baby boy!
- Bible – How well do you know it (or English literature)? Take this BBC quiz.
- Facebook Terms of Service – We have been pwned! (And see my facebook status for more and Drew’s blog for a thorough commentary.)
- The “Heliodoros Stele” – Who will be the first to claim it is a forgery?
- From the Chronicle of Higher Ed –
- THON is this weekend – Penn State’s student philanthropy aiding those children with cancer. A 46 hour dance marathon that last year alone raised over $6.3 million. Please consider donating something via the link. (You can see some of my pictures and listen to my podcast from last year on my SHC blog.)

I’m glad to see the world returning to bearded practice, at last. We will no longer be avant barbe – er, avant garde.
