It is Christmas Eve and we have an ice storm, I have a fractured thumb and a sermon to write for the 11 pm service. So of course I went out to take pictures. Have a blessed Christmas everyone!
O God, you have caused this holy night to shine with the brightness of the true Light: Grant that we, who have known the mystery of that Light on earth, may also enjoy him perfectly in heaven; where with you and the Holy Spirit he lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

now that is a nice episcopalian prayer! glad you got out for some pictures this morning. the ice made some really neat images on the branches and rocks. merry christmas to you and yours.
Exqueeze me? Fractured thumb?!? Pray elucidate Fr Brady!
Had an hour and a half of great sledding (it was a sheet of ice on an inch of snow) and when I got back to the house I slipped. Go figure. Apparently it is a little bone below the thumb, in the wrist, that is impossible to do anything with. I was in a splint for three days but it got itchy and annoying so…I take lots of Ibuprofen and grin and bear it.
