Would this be from the British comedy “Not the Nine O’Clock News” which I watched way back in the early 80’s (possibly even 1979-1980)? I believe it is the programme (note spelling) where Rowan Atkinson (better known today as Mr. Bean) made his big debut. Reciting the previous night’s show was the rage back in British school.
It is! And I believe it was also the inspiration (perhaps among others) for The Daily Show.
