Tulane Students Rush to Make Up Classes

All Things Considered, June 13, 2006 · For displaced students planning on returning to Tulane University in New Orleans, the school is offering a special, six-week “lagniappe session” this summer. The name comes from a Creole word meaning “a little something extra.” The goal is to offer more courses than would normally be available in the summer to help students catch up on their degree requirements.
