Radio City Music Hall

Rockettes in the CityYesterday we had a great time, going into NYC with family. We had 5 kids and 8 adults in a van. We walked around 5th Avenue, made a Christmas Greeting with Gap!, and then went to the Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes at the Radio City Music Hall.

The show was really something else. I had seen it in the 80’s and they change it every year, but this was really incredible. The backdrop frequently had computer animation that was ridiculously good. The picture at right (or above), for example, has the streets of New York and the bus “drove” down the streets. In another scene there were dozens of Santas dancing on the stage and then hundreds appeared behind them (animated on the screens) but from the audience they looked like a perfect match and they then danced in sync. It was fantastic.

We had a wonderful time. More pictures will be up at my Flickr account, so feel free to stop over and take a look and comment.
