How I spent Saturday

With the kids, building a rabbit hutch. It took 5.5 hours in total but the kids enjoyed it and the rabbit seems happy as well. (Better pictures to follow.)

iPhone Video – Get Izzy!

Today we went to Funland and Izzy and I rode the bumper cars. Watch me track her down! (Shot with my iPhone 3Gs and uploaded to YouTube from the phone.

The Beach – Fun in the sun

Still no real updates here this time I am not overworked, just getting a much needed break! I am with the family at Rehoboth Beach and we had a wonderful day. (Just mildly sun-broiled.) Here is a sample pic from the day; feel free to see a few more at my flickr account.

Snowy weekend

Jim West’s hell is my delight. I love snow, in its proper place and time, and Saturday we got a nice 6″ of snow in Central PA. The fact that it was on the weekend was even better, it meant that I could play with the kids and they did not have to miss school. Even our kids are tired of snow days. The called the first one this year on the prediction of an ice storm that never arrived. Our daughter knows that all this does is make the school year longer. One friend from North Dakota said if they cancelled school like this in ND he would still be in 3rd grade. Since I broke a bone in my wrist I couldn’t do a lot of sledding (standing was dangerous enough, there was an inch of ice under the snow on the ground where we sled) so I took pictures instead. Below is an “artsy” attempt and more of the kids and whatnot are available at my flickr account.

First Night 2009 – Happy New Year!

State College has a great tradition of celebrating the new year with ice sculptures, a 5k run, an ice slide, and a wonderful carnival-like atmosphere. The kids love it! We had a group of friends over and then headed out to the festivities. (I freezed my touchas off!) Here are my lil’ Eskimos:
