Taking the field

Penn State Soccer season has begun

Taking the fieldThis past Friday the NCAA soccer season began. You know, what the rest of the world calls “football.” I have had the great privilege to take pictures of our PSU teams on the sidelines and starting today I will be the PA announcer for a handful of the women’s games.

This community has been an incredible support and encouragement to us since Mack’s death and, as most readers will know, Penn State Men’s goalkeepers all now where Mack’s patch on the back of their jerseys. September 13th and 26th will be Mack Brady Nights at the men’s and women’s games respectively. More will be announced at Mack’s site.

Results – Our Lady Lions had a tough fight in Charlottesville, dropping their first regular season game to UVA 5-1. Our men had a tough battle against Radnor with the only and winning goal coming from freshman Mark Wadid. Goalkeeper Andrew Wolverton had a big one-on-one save in the 84 minute to preserve the clean sheet and the win. Today we have a double header, with the women playing LaSalle at 1 pm and the men taking on Central Connecticut at 7 pm.
