Stephen Cook posted a reply to my earlier post about David and commented that he had not heard a good homily on David in a while. I don’t know if they are good, but I offer two that I delivered several years ago. For those who do not want to go to the comments section on the other post, this is what I wrote and the links to the sermons.
I delivered these several years ago and they are two very different approaches (one context was an African-American church and the other a synagogue). The first is (now) a rather lengthy text and was delivered at Temple Sinai NO and the other is more of an outline and focuses more upon how David can, in fact, help us to understand how to be “Christlike.”

Help! I can’t get the links to work, and I would love to see what you had to say… Thanks, —SLC
It should just bring up another page and then in the “message” portion of that page is the title as a hyperlink to the Word document. Is that not working? Otherwise, I can simply email it to you.
It should look like this:
Simply right-click (control click on single button Mac) on the link and save to your computer.
When I click it comes up:
“Oh no! You’re looking for something which just isn’t here! Fear not however, errors are to be expected, and luckily there are tools on the sidebar for you to use in your search for what you need.”
Hmm. It is working for me. Anyone else having trouble? Stephen, would you email me off the site cbrady AT targuman.org and I will email them to you.
